Bailey Zimmerman has publicly apologized after authorities in New Mexico issued an arrest warrant connected to allegations that he caused extensive damage to a hotel room following a canceled concert in Albuquerque. Court records show the 26-year-old artist faces a fourth-degree felony charge of criminal damage to property and a misdemeanor count of falsely obtaining services stemming from a May 27 incident at Sandia Resort & Casino. Authorities allege more than $16,000 in damages were discovered in his room after the show was called off.

Zimmerman released a statement through his attorney regarding the allegations: “I want to address the events surrounding my canceled show in New Mexico in May and the reports that have followed. First things first, I want to apologize to the Pueblo of Sandia and to everyone at Sandia Resort & Casino. I never meant for any of this to come across as disrespectful. I am deeply sorry for my actions that transpired. I respect your community and the hospitality, and appreciate the opportunity that was given to me to perform on Native Land. I take full accountability for everything that happened and I am sorry to anyone who feels hurt or disrespected. To my fans who bought tickets and showed up expecting a performance, I am so sorry; you deserved better from me. I understand that being a musician comes with big responsibilities, both on and off stage, and I know that I fell short that day. I am reflecting on the disappointment and concern that I caused. I am taking this legal matter seriously. I am committed to doing the work necessary to learn and grow. Thank you to my fans for holding me accountable and for understanding that I am human. I do not take your support for granted.”

According to affidavits cited by multiple outlets, security personnel reported that Zimmerman appeared intoxicated and behaved erratically during soundcheck, allegedly throwing microphones and other equipment before the performance was canceled. Hotel staff later found broken furniture, damaged electronics, holes in walls and unpaid charges. Prosecutors sought an arrest warrant on June 18 after attempts to contact the singer reportedly went unanswered.

Zimmerman initially told fans he had canceled the Albuquerque show because he was not feeling well, later postponing another date as he recovered. The “Rock and a Hard Place” singer, who previously apologized for performing while intoxicated in 2025, is expected to continue his touring schedule while the case proceeds and the warrant remains active. Representatives for Zimmerman have not commented beyond his public statement.
