Singer/songwriter Ashley Monroe has released the official music video for her single, “Haunted.”
The visual accompaniment marks the latest promotional push for the track, which originates from her critically acclaimed studio album, Dear Nashville. Directed by Becky Fluke, the video marks the fifth chapter in the project, which will ultimately bring every song on the album to life on screen.
Monroe said of the track: “When I first played ‘Haunted’ for my video director Becky Fluke, we started talking about all the images it brought to mind and the pieces of my own life that still haunt me. We spent a lot of time wandering around Nashville at all hours, chasing those feelings and moments. To me, this video lives somewhere between reality and a dream… which is probably pretty fitting,”
The “Haunted” video release follows Monroe’s previous “Dear Nashville” videos, including “Gettin’ Out of Hand” and “Steal.” The latter featured archival footage and memories from Monroe’s career, including work with Jack White, performances with John Prine and time with her Pistol Annies bandmates.
