Hudson Westbrook and Gavin Adcock have dropped the official music video for their collaboration “Cheap Thrills,” continuing the momentum behind a song the pair first introduced during a performance at the Grand Ole Opry back in May.
Written by Adcock, Westbrook and Reid Haughton, “Cheap Thrills” pairs the singers’ distinct vocal styles on a high-energy track centered on reckless decisions, late-night temptations and the pursuit of fleeting satisfaction. The song’s lyrics explore themes of excess and self-destructive behavior while acknowledging the consequences that follow.
The collaboration brings together two of country music’s fast-rising young acts. Adcock, a former Georgia Southern University football player, turned to music after a knee injury ended his playing career and has since built a large streaming audience and a growing touring presence. Westbrook, a Texas native who gained attention with his breakout single “Take It Slow,” has rapidly expanded his fan base through a series of successful releases and nationwide touring.
The video, directed by Emma Golden, was filmed in Nashville on May 5, shortly after Adcock and Westbrook debuted the track live at the Opry. See the video for ‘Cheap Thrills’ – HERE.
