Dustin Lynch is turning the page on a new chapter with “How You Been,” an upbeat collaboration with Ashley Cooke released as the latest preview of his upcoming seventh studio album, “Clean Slate,” due out Oct. 30th. The album announcement comes shortly after Lynch released “Setlist Staples – 10 #1’s,” a collection of his 10 country radio chart-toppers.

Lynch describes the song ‘How You Been‘ as a “chapter 2” to his 4X Platinum hit “Thinking ’Bout You,” this time revisiting an old relationship after an unexpected phone call brings memories of first kisses, summer nights and a trip to Myrtle Beach rushing back. Lynch said, “I’m so happy to finally have a song out with Ashley. She sounds incredible on ‘How You Been,’ and from the first time I heard it, it felt like the perfect song for us to do together.”

Cooke, who joins Lynch for the conversational duet, said she was immediately drawn to the song’s melody and writing. “The second I heard this song, I was beyond excited Dustin asked me to be a part of it,” she said. The track pairs the singers in a playful story about two former lovers wondering whether the connection they left behind might still be there, giving Lynch another opportunity to explore the themes of nostalgia, second chances and relationships that linger.

Meanwhile, Lynch describes ‘Clean Slate’ as a collection shaped by different stages of life, including romance, heartbreak, nights out and the process of figuring out what matters. “There’s a lot of life on this record,” he said. The singer co-wrote seven of the songs, collaborating with Nashville writers including Zach Crowell, Justin Ebach, Josh Thompson, Jameson Rodgers, Brent Anderson, Hunter Phelps and Ben Johnson.

The tracklist for ‘Clean Slate’ also features MC4D on “Home To You,” as well as “Real Fine Reason,” “She Don’t Know,” “Lightning Don’t,” “Built Us A Life,” “One Tennessee,” “Talkin’,” “Old Man Knows,” “Easy To Love” and “Made In A Bottle,” which arrived alongside a music video; check it out: HERE.
