Carly Pearce has released a cinematic music video for “Same Circus,” a track from her newly issued fifth studio album, “Honest Woman.” The song takes a witty look at a string of disappointing relationships, while the video transforms its central metaphor into a surreal circus setting filled with colorful, theatrical imagery.
“Same Circus” uses the idea of repeatedly encountering different romantic partners while ending up in familiar situations. Pearce turns that frustration into humor, with the song reflecting on relationships that may look different on the surface but ultimately produce the same heartbreak. The visual treatment expands that theme, presenting the chaos of modern dating as an elaborate spectacle.
The song is part of “Honest Woman,” a 16-track collection co-produced by Pearce and longtime collaborator Ben West. The album explores love, heartbreak, faith, insecurity, self-discovery and womanhood while allowing Pearce to draw more heavily on the traditional country and bluegrass influences that shaped her musical foundation. The project also includes collaborations with Riley Green, Dan Tyminski and Molly Tuttle.
