Kacey Musgraves is sharing the official music video for “Mexico Honey,” one of the breakout tracks from her latest album, Middle of Nowhere – the follow-up to 2024’s Deeper Well.
The cinematic, romance-filled visual, filmed on location in Mexico, is directed by Running Bear’s Alexa Stone and Stephen Kinigopoulos and follows Musgraves as she performs the song in a karaoke bar before embarking on a passionate night with a tattooed cowboy, matching the song’s flirtatious, carefree spirit.
Although “Mexico Honey” was not initially released as an official single, the track has emerged as one of the album’s biggest fan favorites, fueled by strong streaming numbers and social media momentum. The song recently reached the Billboard Hot 100, prompting the release of a full music video months after Middle of Nowhere arrived in May. The visual also marks the second time Musgraves has portrayed herself singing one of her own songs at a karaoke bar in a music video, following 2018’s “High Horse.”
