Ella Langley has added another milestone to her breakout year as her chart-topping single “Choosin’ Texas” logged a 14th consecutive week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. The achievement places the country star alongside Mariah Carey’s “We Belong Together” and Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You” for the longest reign atop the chart by a non-holiday song from a female artist without a male-billed collaborator. Including holiday releases, only Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You” has spent more weeks at No. 1.
“Choosin’ Texas,” which first reached the summit in February, continues to dominate through a combination of strong streaming, radio airplay and sales. The song appears on Langley’s sophomore album Dandelion, which debuted atop the Billboard 200 earlier this year. Co-written by Langley, Miranda Lambert, Luke Dick and JoyBeth Taylor, the track has become the defining hit of the Alabama native’s rapidly rising career.
The latest chart accomplishment further cements Langley’s record-breaking run in 2026. Earlier this year, she became the first female artist to simultaneously top the Billboard Hot 100, Hot Country Songs and Country Airplay charts. She also continues to maintain a strong presence on the Hot 100 with multiple high-charting singles, underscoring her emergence as one of country music’s biggest crossover stars.
Langley is currently on her sold-out “The Dandelion Tour,” which runs through October, while “Choosin’ Texas” continues its historic chart run. The song’s latest milestone not only strengthens her standing in country music but also places her among a select group of artists whose singles have enjoyed some of the longest No. 1 runs in Billboard Hot 100 history.
